i. Tosin Runsewe B.Sc., M.Sc, and MBA – Chief Client Officer:

Prior to joining the company in March 2004, Tosin worked with the parent company, Guaranty Trust Bank plc for 9 years where he served in the Commercial, Investment and Institutional Banking Groups. Within those years he also managed the Energy Group. He was the Bank's Treasurer from 1998 to 2002.

 

Tosin started his career in the financial services industry at Commercial Bank (Credit
Lyonnais Nigeria Limited) in January 1992. He has also served in various positions on the Executive Committee of the influential Money Market Association of Nigeria including a 2-term stint as its General Secretary. In addition to participating in several insurance-related

 

ii. Yetunde Ilori B.Sc. (Act.Sc), ACII (London): Executive Director

Yetunde started her insurance career in 1985 with Trans Nigeria Assurance Co. Ltd. and rose to become the head of Life and Pensions group. She later joined Crusader Insurance Plc. in 1997 where she was appointed head of Actuarial and Life groups at various times. She has chaired the Life Offices Committee for the last five years, currently represents Nigeria on the Life Committee of African Insurance Organization and also a member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Insurance Association.

 

In addition to attending several training programmes abroad, Yetunde has also completed an Advanced Management Programme at Lagos Business School.

 

iii. Owolabi Salami LLB, B.L (Buckingham)  General Manager:

Owolabi's professional career spans sixteen years. He has worked as counsel with leading law firms such as Afe Babalola, SAN & Co., Bentley, Edu & Co, Akeredolu & Olujimi. His Insurance career started with Industrial and General Insurance Co. Ltd, in January 2000 where he was appointed Head of the Business Development/Strategy Unit.

 

In addition to attending several training programmes at home and abroad, Owolabi has also completed an Advanced Management Programme at Lagos Business School.

Owolabi is currently the Division Director - Retail Business.

 

iv. Michael Oyebola MA, M.Sc., ASIP - General Manager:

Michael's professional investment career spans over 17 years with such overseas institutions as Mellon Bank, Legal & General, Regent Fund Management, Investec Asset Management, Laxey Partners (as Head of Treasury, Hedging & Derivatives managing $350m) and Thornhill Investment Management (as a team member managing £500m).

 

He was also the former pioneer Head of Investment of Crusader Sterling Pensions Ltd. He is a Member of the CFA Institute, CFA UK and an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School having completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP)
Michael is the Chief Investment Officer.

 

v. Kunle Ahmed B.Sc., Dip. CII - Deputy General Manager:

Kunle's professional career has spanned fifteen years. His insurance career blossomed when he joined Industrial and General Insurance Co. Limited in June 1994, where he acquired experience in Oil and
Energy insurance business.

 

He is a graduate of the West African Insurance Institute and has also attended several Oil and Gas seminars including the Marginal Oil Field Development & Capacity Building in Nigeria, ‘Siyafunda' Property and Engineering Course organized by SwissRe South Africa and Energy Risk Management Course organized by MARSH, London.
Kunle is the Group Head – Energy.

 

vi. Victor Inyang CFA, M.Sc, MEng - Deputy General Manager

Victor's career spans 13 years, having worked in a number of international financial institutions including Commerzbank (Frankfurt), Citigroup (London) and UBS (London). On returning to Nigeria,
Victor worked as the pioneer Head, Investments at Penman Pensions Ltd and later Head, Wealth & Asset Management at Future View Financial Services Ltd.

 

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Mathematical Trading & Finance. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate (as administered by the UK Society of Investment Professionals) and is an Associate Member of the CFA UK and the Singapore Society of Investment Professionals.
Victor is a Fund Manager and Head, Research & Strategy - Assur Asset Management Limited (A subsidiary of GTAssur)

 

Vii. Polycarp Didam B.Sc. (INS), ACIIN, ANIMN, MNIN Assistant General Manager:Email: pdidam@gtaplc.com   
Polycarp started his Insurance career with Valid Assurance Co. Limited (now United Trust Ins. Co. Limited) in 1987 as Underwriting Officer and then moved on to Commercial Insurance Brokers and Afribank Insurance Brokers in different capacities before joining Industrial & General Insurance Co Limited where he worked for ten years as the Head of Northern Operations.
Polycarp is currently Group Head – Public Sector & Northern Operations.

Tope started his career as a Software & Training Manager with Management Support Systems. He had a brief stint with Capital Express Insurance as a System Analyst, he then moved to UAC Nigeria Limited where he worked in various capacities as Systems Network Manager as well as National Planner for the Mr. Biggs Division.

He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with (ISC2) USA and Certified in Oracle Database Administration.

 

Tope is a graduate of the prestigious Advanced Management Programme from Lagos Business School and has attended several trainings abroad including Germany (SAP); US(OracleOpenworld); London (Airas) and was an intern at ING, Vysa Bank, India.
Tope is currently the Division Director for Operations.

 

ix. Yomi Onifade B.Sc. (INS) - Assistant General Manager :

Yomi's insurance career spans over 10 years from his time at Insurance Brokers of Nigeria (IBN) and UNIC Insurance plc as an underwriter to Standard Alliance Insurance Co. Ltd as a marketing officer and rose through the ranks before joining Towergate Insurance plc (now First Assurance plc) as part of the turnaround management team before moving over to Guaranty Trust Assurance in January,2004.

 

Yomi is a graduate of the prestigious Senior Management Programme of Lagos Business School and also attended the Engineering & Special Risk Course organized by Africa Re in 2006. He recently attended an Executive Sales Management course at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
Yomi is the Group Head – Corporate Business.

 

x. Lekan Oyinlade B.Sc., ACIIN - Senior Manager:

Lekan started his insurance career with Sovereign Trust Insurance plc where he acquired considerable experience in General Business Underwriting and Reinsurance. Lekan is a prolific lecturer in the area of risk management with special bias for Reinsurance and Alternative Risk Transfer mechanisms.

 

He has attended several technical courses including Engineering & Special Risk courses organized by Africa Re in 2006, Oil & Energy Seminar organized by Munich Re in 2007 and Energy Underwriting by HSBC, London. Lekan recently completed the SMP programme at LBS.
Lekan Oyinlade is the Group Head – General Business Underwriting.

 

xi. Henry Akwara B.Sc. FCA, MBA - Senior Manager:

Henry is a Chartered Accountant. He has over 15 years post qualification experience garnered from audit practice, insurance and IT. He served as Head, Finance and Administration at Metropolitan General Insurance Company Limited. He also served as the Head of Finance and Accounts at Global Payment Systems Limited. He is currently going through a Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School.
Henry is the Group Head – Systems and Controls Group.

Anne's career in the Financial Industry commenced in 1997 with Guaranty Trust Bank plc. She worked there for over six years in various departments: Transaction Services, Internal Control and Sales. She obtained some offshore work-experience with Cancer Research UK, in the Marketing Unit and then returned to lead the High Net-worth Individuals' sales team of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria.
Anne is the Group Head – Bancassurance Unit.

Rantimi is a graduate of Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos. He started his insurance career with CrusaderInsurance Nigeria Plc in 1993 where he worked in the Group Life and Pensions Department for 7 years. He later joined Cornerstone Insurance plc in 2000 as one of the pioneer staff of the Life Department. He had a brief stint with Asset and Retirement Management Company as the head of Individual Business before joining Guaranty Trust Assurance in 2004. Rantimi is a graduate of the Senior Management Programme (SMP) of Lagos Business School.
Rantimi is the Group Head, Life and Health Operations.

 

xiv. Rashidat Adebisi B.A. (Buss. Accounting), ACCA, CBA, CFC & CERT CII – Senior Manager: Email: radebisi@gtaplc.com , T: 2701560 ext: 2270  

Rashidat is a graduate of University of Lincolnshire & Humberside where she bagged a Bachelor degree specializing in Business Accounting. Prior to joining GTA, she worked to gather experience in different areas of the service industry from customer service, financial advisory service, Accounting and Audit services. She worked in various organizations including Churchill Insurance UK (Member of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group). She also qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) before returning to Nigeria. 

 

She is a Chartered Business Administrator (CBA) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CFC) of The Institute of Financial Consultants of Canada. She recently qualified as a CERT CII member of the Chartered Insurance Institute UK.
Rashidat is the Group Head – Financial Control.
